Royal Pirates Q&A - Part I -

Hey Guys, This is Royal Pirates We're here to answer some of your questions

Uhhm, We got a lot of questions here, thank you guys for participating

Question # 1

Apart from music have you ever considered doing something else on your life?  And different hobbies/interests?  Or your heart go for music only?

Moonchul : 

 I've always wanted to do music since I was younger, since we were  junior high, senior high,formed the band, and uh, I don't know,  I've always wanted to do music and never really thought of anything else, but right now , I never really thought of doing anything else but I like watching movies a lot, so maybe something that has to do with movies   If I, If I didn't pursue music.

Sooyoon :

 Well, I think, I've always wanted to do music too and I've wanted to become a drummer for a long time. If I didn't become a drummer, I think I would still have done something related to music

James :

Actually before I joined the band I was pursuing a graduate degree to teach and I wanted to teach at the university level Mass Media,But Uhm, I kinda got it put on hold, and I'm pursuing my dreams right now, and I'm loving it. Music.

Why don't you make your own musics?

Moonchul :

Myriam, We actually right our own music, we have some of the stuff out there online. You can find it on Youtube, and one of our biggest passion as artists is writing music, so we write a lot. But It's just not out there. We're kinda saving it for our album maybe  So,...Later in the future you're gonna hear a lot of our own compositions and stuff

Question # 3

How big a role have your fans played in your journey to where you are today?

-Briony Dunbar-

Sooyoon :

Well, Our fans have been really loyal to us. Uhm, until now, and If we didn't have our fans, obviously, we wouldn't be here.

Moonchul :

Yeah. I mean, you guys have been really encouraging so...We didn't know we're gonna have ever, like have fans or...We're still doing it cause we love music and we just upload our stuff on youtube  and all of you guys started watching it, and just commenting and complimenting us   and it was really encouraging and it was, it was, more like a huge.. like energy source of why we do our music now. you guys are the big part of it.

James :

You guys were there from the beginning. And just, when we were inactive you still held on, and we can't really articulate how much you guys mean to us.

Sooyoon :

Because of the fans, we could pursue our dreams right now.It's Great! Great. thank you guys!

How is a typical training day like?Is there a routine you follow everyday?

Moonchul :

Uhhm, I start working out in the morning and we go in during lunch time and we start practicing togethe  rand we have some personal time

Sooyoon : 

We Umm, practice our own instruments and  we also practice writing musicand getting our sound together and just..

James :

Just a bunch of practicing, pretty much, all day.

How did it feel to perform in Singapore in front of such a large audience for the first time after months since your last performance in the States?

- Monica Poli-

Sooyoon : 

Well, First of all it was amazing, you know. we got offered to go to Singapore and perform for the men's fashion show.We're just amazed, how, how many people there were, uhm, how many fans actually came to see us and...

Moonchul :

Well , first when we... We thought we're gonna be nervous, we haven't played a show in a while but it was, we weren't nervous at all. We were really focused and we were excited , and we were just like, we were  excited for it. But in the beginning, when the show started, we were having some technical difficulties so, we kinda missed a beat in the beginning but we caught up really well, and we ended the show on a high note.It was good, really good.

Sooyoon : Thank you guys for your support.

Moonchul : Yeah

I know each of you write lyrics so, what's your inspiration?

James :

My inspiration comes from things that are really thought provoking and ....or very emotionally demanding. becasue if it's not honest the listener can tell. and the song, the product it just fails, it's not as good as an honest song so.. just real life you guys mostly dealing with... love or challenging times and just the will to overcome things that.. I think that's what motivates me to write the most.

Sooyoon :

Actually my.. a lot of them comes from my personal experience too, but a lot of them actually comes from my imaginations as well, so , I just, I like writing about you know.  I used to like, write about like sadness and depression   and everything but now, i'm trying to write more aboutUhm, Hope and happiness and just brighter stuff.

.....alright, this next question is from kim-chi..  What are your favorite foods?..
