It is important to be genuine when writing. It is important to write music that connects with the lyrics.
Art is a genuine expression that may not be interpreted efficiently by being articulate, but can be felt throughout the entire body. From the bottoms of the feet to the pores on your back to the prints of the finger tips to the creases on your lips, it should be a sensory carnival, flashing, draining the sweat glands and causing the heart to race like a swallow, frantically dispatching from it's children after a gunshot. Desperately.
The thing is, it's all relative. But it's fascinating how the tear ducts are triggered by nostalgia we assign to melodies, cadences and tonalities. How our hearts break over and over and over again. How we chase a fantastic dream to a haunting, bittersweet nightmare. When you wake up, your perspective reality has evolved. And you are left wanting more. Addiction.
everyone gets on the plane and they cancel the flight because the pilot is "tired"
wait in line for another hour to get service
...wait in the hotel room til morning
at the aiport to find out it's swarming with people who's plane got cancelled last night
misses flight by 2 minutes
now waiting 2 more hours for next flight
other than all that my day's going great

...Me: Not this time...But you are invited to our show this weekend in CA. Haha.

Lets hope that guy doesn't take 16 hours to get from Canada to LA."
